Talent Pathways: Start Your Journey!
At Haven High Academy, we believe every student has talent and potential waiting to be unlocked. That’s why we’re excited to introduce you to our Talent Pathways programme – a unique opportunity to explore your creativity, curiosity and skills even before you join us in September!
🎯 What is Talent Pathways?
Talent Pathways is a set of fun, subject-themed summer projects created by each faculty (like English, Science, Art, PE, and more!). These activities are designed to help you:
• 🔍 Explore your interests
• 🧠 Get a head start on secondary school learning
• 🛠️ Develop independent thinking and creativity
• 🧑🎓 Build confidence before term starts
🏡 What Do I Need to Do?
During the summer holidays, you can choose one (or more!) of the Talent Pathways that interests or excites you most and complete a project at home. This could be something you write, make, research or present – each faculty will give you a few ideas to pick from.
This isn’t a test – it’s a fun, optional challenge. You can do it alone, with a sibling, a parent, or a friend. Just enjoy the chance to show off what you can do!
📅 What Happens in September?
Once you start at Haven High:
• You’ll bring in your Talent Pathways project during your form time in the autumn term.
• You’ll continue developing it further with help from your teachers and classmates.
• Everyone will get a chance to present their project in a Talent Pathways Showcase during the lead-up to Christmas! 🎄
We can’t wait to see your ideas come to life and celebrate the passions, skills, and potential that every one of our Year 7 students brings to Haven High
We are relentlessly ambitious for our students, academy and local community, and understand the importance of us all working together to secure our aspirations. At Haven High we have high expectations of students and staff that help us to succeed. We expect our students to work hard to fulfil and exceed their academic potential - and to pursue their talents and passions. We do this through offering a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum, and a caring, supportive learning environment.
