OPENING OF THE MEMORIAL GARDENS

Members of the Year 7 Student Council attended the Opening of the Memorial Gardens today, joining members of the Royal British Legion and the local community in a solemn and dignified ceremony. They came to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice during past and present conflicts. Dressed in their school uniform looking extremely smart, the students stood quietly as wreaths and crosses were laid;  the students also had the opportunity to walk forward in turn to lay wreaths themselves, placing them carefully at the memorial as a mark of gratitude and respect, reflecting on the courage and selflessness of those who gave their lives in service. The gardens created as a lasting place for reflection, serve as a reminder that the bravery will never be forgotten. For the students, it was a meaningful opportunity to show gratitude and to carry forward the values of respect, remembrance, and service
